December 2025’s special mini issue of The World of Interiors celebrates all things compact but perfectly formed, from a très petit Paris flat to pimped-up truck cabins in Pakistan. Quite evidently, size isn’t everything. But we’ve taken the mini theme one step further, bringing you the first ever miniature edition of The World of Interiors. Measuring just 134 x 104mm, and stretching across 336 pages, it is a celebration of the medium of print publishing. This pocket-sized version has been carefully redesigned, with additional paper stocks and a gatefold illustration.

Virtually every story in the issue has been extended or reimagined with additional images and details. Plus, exclusive extra treats are sprinkled throughout. New stories include Robin Muir’s essay on how illustrator Charles Dana Gibson defined a fin-de-siècle feminine ideal with his drawing The Weaker Sex II and how photographer Horst P. Horst went on to recreate this curious tableau for a 1948 issue of American Vogue. Elsewhere, the Oregon-based animation studio Laika, creators of Coraline and Kubo and the Two Strings, is celebrating 20 years of conjuring enchantment. An extended special section on doll’s houses includes illustrations by Pablo Bronstein and Lukas Weidinger. On the back page, discover a new poem, ‘Sleeping with the Lingo’, written by John Agard.
