A new publication series by photographer and director, Duncan Loudon, STUNT profiles the performers behind some of cinema and TV’s most compelling scenes.

Each issue of STUNT features a collection of performer portraits and interviews specially captured by Duncan across the UK and USA in recent years. 

Largely, the role of a stunt performer is to go unnoticed. Successful performers appear in dozens of films and shows, doubling for many different actors while remaining anonymous. Thus their exceptional on-screen feats, and the superhuman training and planning it takes to achieve them, are rarely celebrated.

Like all professions, stunt work has gone through many transitions. Even so, as these issues are released, advancements in AI and CGI technology threaten to replace living performers entirely.
