‘halfway equality’ is a concrete poetry zine. The typographic patterns, designed with analog typewriter mono, are based on pattern analyses from colonial-era ‘ethnographic’ books. By re-appropriating the latin script, the patterns focus on the undoing of colonial attitudes in art history by bringing to light how these dynamics of partialism have prevailed until our current time, and by doing so, breaking the patterns.
