The inaugural issue dives into the big question of 'what is cheese?' and explores this through personal essays, music playlists, interviews and more. It takes a meandering cheese stroll through the markets of Milan, on a sensory dive with a beer and cheese pairing from Lembeek, to Devonshire, on teenage cheese discoveries, a journey of the manchego chain from farmer to academic, and to a farm in Chennai making tomme and exploring the true concept of terroir, and how cheese is just like Meg Ryan. 

The magazine is full of illustrations and photography, which bring the issue to life, by artists including Reena Makwana, Olivia Waller, photographers Robert Billington and Patricia Niven, and iIllustrator Ben Jones captures the sense of history that cheese has, as well as the joy, with the bright cover.
