Errata is a series of botanical-inspired publications celebrating imperfection, improvisation, and happy accidents in both printing and planting. In the first volume, titled Field Recordings, Bryan Graf draws parallels between sound and image through experimentation in the darkroom. Using a variety of tools and techniques, he explores the correlation between the reverb of musical instruments and the manipulation of photographic film to generate rhythm and texture. Field Recordings is a playful remix of images, repurposed from their original source, and interwoven to create a maze of nature in all its unruly and merciless beauty.

Field Recordings includes photographs from past collaborations with Bryan Graf, such as Wildlife Analysis and Debris of the Days, alongside work from his current exhibition and forthcoming publication Telepathic Jungle. In a nod to audio recordings and vinyl records, the book is tucked into a translucent sleeve and includes several pieces of printed ephemera from the artist’s studio.
