As childlike outsider Jimbo recalls the disappearance of his best friend Declan, he is plagued by ghosts of the past and present. With a hazy grasp on reality, Jimbo searches through his fractured town for Declan – and along the way makes troubling discoveries about his own childhood.

Declan is a recipient of the inaugural Keep it Fringe Award set up by the Edinburgh Fringe Society and Phoebe-Waller Bridge. The play was also shortlisted for the Bristol Old Vic and Pleasance Partnership Award.

Alistair Hall is an actor and writer. He was born in Chippenham, Wiltshire and now lives in London. He graduated from RADA in 2019. Declan is his debut play. Alistair’s acting credits include Family Tree (Actors Touring Company); Safe (Norwich Theatre Royal); and Rose Pandemic (BAFTA Crew).
