The first English translation of Alexandra Kollontai’s “My Heart Belongs to the Finnish Poor”, originally published as "Suomen köyhälistölle kuuluu sydämeni" by the Finnish Trade Union Federation yearbook Työn Juhla: Suomen ammattijärjestön juhlajulkaisu in 1911. Translated from Finnish by MLH, edited and commented by Cathy Porter.
Designed by Ott Kagovere, the essay is printed in 200 copies as a risographed poster. The poster is published for the occasion of the exhibition celebrating the 10th anniversary of Rab-Rab at the Museum of Impossible Forms.
The poster is the first in a series of publications on Kollontai’s writings on Finland, translated and edited by Cathy Porter, the author of Alexandra Kollontai. A Biography (first edition 1980). Porter is also a translator of Kollontai's fictional trilogies Love of Worker Bees and A Great Love, and Alexandra Kollontai. Writings from the Struggle (2020), thirty never-before translated masterpieces, with connecting commentaries, from her life in the revolutionary underground in the 1890s to her years in Soviet power.
