For this issue, Fran has delved into the world of the Venezuelan Minitecas, a strain of mini/tiny soundsystems first found in Venezuela in the late 1960s and early 1970s. By the 1980s Minitecas were widespread in the country, with a multitude of soundsystems with names such as Betelgeuse, Sound Crazy, ZC, Coconut, The Boss and High Voltage. Minitecas would play a wide mix of genres such as Electro, New Wave, Miami Bass and Italo Disco and when played together would be represented by one simple word; 'Changa'.
